Hehe I have been blessed by God! Maybe it’s because I have come to accept and love my body rather than obsessing over being skinny. You know, I was watching a tv program yesterday whilst I was updating the site and it was about the history of statues and the female form. It was very interesting. In some other countries women with larger hips are considered attractive because somewhere in mens minds they find this attractive because the bigger the hips the more fertile and able to carry a child they are. Apparently, some fat is required to get pregnant so maybe some of todays problems with getting pregnant are due to our diets and obsession with diets.

I  personally like my body better now than it was when it was skinny in the past. I used to have tiny tits and a skinny body that really wasn’t that curvy. And you know what, I’m not afraid to say “I love my body the way it is, curves, faults and all, no matter what the media might say”. These days with celebrities seem to be womens idles and I think that is very wrong. The weekly magazines that constantly print how skinny celebs are or how fat they are and about crash diets. It amazes me that young women look up to someone like Victoria Beckham who is famous for nothing more but appearing in the magazines with a skinny anorexic body and a lollypop head. If that is beauty then I want to be ugly!!

Real heroes and women that we should look upto are people like Alison Lapper. I hope she wont mind me talking about her, but she has a disability and paints with her mouth. It almost seems wrong to call her disabled when you see how able she is to  create beautiful art. There is a sculpture of her naked pregnant body in Trafalgar Square. See this article for more info. The artist that created the sculpture Marc Quinn said: “In the past, heroes conquered the outside world. Now they conquer their own circumstances and the prejudices of others.”

It’s women like Alison that young people should see as role models, not skinny celebs who are famous for nothing more than buying expensive clothes and being as skinny as they can.

So coming back to me, I can honestly say that yes, I am proud of my body despite what some people say to try and put me down. It’s hard to retain these values in a celebrity and diet obsessed world but fuck them ‘ey!

Hope everyone is having a fab weekend and I will talk with you very soon, see told you I’d post on my blog more often!!
